Coverage of the Pasadena Republican Club's events. This blog began during the 2004 election cycle to cover events at the headquarters. Since the headquarters only actually appears every two years, it will cover other PRC events as well.
The Pasadena Republican Club congratulates George W. Bush and Dick Cheney on their election, and thanks all of the volunteers who worked so hard locally at our headquarters, statewide, and country wide to make this victory possible.
Sometime during the evening of the 2nd as the night wore on, it became increasingly clear that the major media were in a deadlock. The conclusion was obvious. From the maps published online, there was widespread agreement about the outcome in all but a few states. But the media didn't want to call the results until they gave Kerry and Edwards a chance to concede defeat.
But that isn't the real story here.
The real story is that the American people once again confounded the world's pundits by recognizing a worthy leader performing good works on the global stage.
The thing that the rest of the world has trouble understanding is that at the core, we really are one country and one people. Like all sound families, we have our occasional loud argument. Once the dust settles, we remain bound as one in our common pursuit of liberty and justice for all.
Thanks for all the hard work. Now on to the real tasks ahead...
